I grew up in the small tourist town of St. Michaels, MD on the Chesapeake Bay. Because of this, I have an affinity for the water and it’s aquatic creatures. I chose the color blue because it symbolizes wisdom and tranquility, and I chose the duck because of it’s versatility. Ducks walk, fly, and swim, which demonstrates their ability to navigate a variety of environments. We do this, too! We must navigate our families, partners, work, friends, community, school, doctors, and place of worship. And just like the air, land, and sea, these environments have different rules, expectations, and communication styles which make life tricky for sure.

While Blue Duck is a new business, my experience is lengthy. I have twenty years of combined experience in the fields of education, counseling, and administration, possessing a BA in English Secondary Education, a masters in Educational Psychology with a dual concentration in Community Counseling and School Counseling, and an MBA in Education Leadership. This combination of education and experience have led me to life coaching and to launching a business.

I reside in Muskego, WI with my husband of 30 years who is a pastor and his mother who is a retired nurse. Our son lives nearby and is a lead software developer. I volunteer at our church as a youth group leader and also co-lead an adult small group in my house every Monday evening.
